


Adam Giacopuzzi is an up and coming composer that is sure to quickly make a name for himself. His vast talents for composing music in numerous styles make him a desired comodity. Adam's music abounds with creativity and talent, from his powerful orchestral pieces to his pop and rock tunes to his take on bluegrass, every melody demonstrates a controlled mastery of his craft.
Adam graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Music degree in Media and Film Composition after having studied under Professor Elizabeth Sellers. Here he studied the film score compositions of John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and Danny
His musical career began at the age of six with violin lessons. After several years of classical study, Adam found an interest in fiddle style music, especially Texas swing. His classically trained teacher allowed him to follow this interest, teaching him swing, jazz, and bluegrass. Along with his father backing him on guitar, he joined the fiddle
Only so much of Adam's creative desires could be met by the violin, and at the age of 17 he began to teach himself to play the guitar. Not long after guitar came the bass, also self taught. He soon applied these newly discovered talents to his church worship band. With his equally
Adam has played with numerous other successful groups, iincluding "Pleasant Valley" and "Soundhaven". Pleasant Valley, his family bluegrass band, toured the Western United States, headling numerous national bluegrass festivals and making several television appearances. The band, made up of Adam's entire family, recorded a self titled album in 1998. Soundhaven, the rock band that Adam fronted, was making waves in the Southern California music scene, with shows at the Whiskey A Go-Go and The Knitting Factory before disbanding in 2004.
Adam has been teaching private music lessons from his instructional studio in his home for over 12 years, and currently has a clientelle of almost 30 students. He is the strings instructor for two elementary school programs in Newbury Park, CA.
